From as far back as I can remember, New York was always the place I dreamed of visiting. Of walking down Fifth Avenue taking in all the brightly-lit shopfronts, strolling through Central Park between family picnics and morning joggers.
We spent last weekend in the lovely city of York when a friend of ours was doing the Yorkshire marathon. Anyone who knows me will know how excited I was at the prospect of going to the York Roast Co. for one of their famous Yorkie pud wraps.
Having spent three weeks in Florida this Summer, it was obvious that food was going to play a big part of our holiday. Whether we were cooking in our villa, out to a restaurant or getting take out, the wealth of choice over in the States is kind of overwhelming.
On Tuesday last week, my Mum, my sister and I went along to Chatsworth House for their House Style exhibit. Showcasing over five centuries of fashion, we got to see clothing, jewellery, art and much more which catapulted you back decades.
Something I have always wanted to do became possible. My mum and I were able to attend a cupcake decorating class at the famous Primrose Bakery, Covent Garden.
